Boots launches £38 Father's Day gift set 'perfect for hard

The gift box contains luxury skincare from the likes of Liz Earle, Clinique, Elemis and more, with the priciest item - worth £8 more than the box on its own - having been described as 'a miracle in a bottle'

Boots has launched a luxurious limited-edition gift set to give all the dads out there a well-deserved pampering this Father's Day.

The high street retailer has introduced the Premium Father's Day Skincare Box, which is priced at just £38 but contains a selection of skincare products worth a total of £122.36 according to the Boots website. Available online only, the eight-piece set contains grooming essentials from the likes of Liz Earle, Clinique and Elemis, and consists of five full-size products alongside three trial sizes ideal for taking on holiday.

It comes as part of a range of offers launched by Boots ahead of Father's Day on Sunday, June 18, including up to half price deals on selected fragrance and gifts, as well as better than half price on some dental and electrical products. The retailer's website has bundled gift ideas into price ranges starting from £5 and under, to help shoppers on any budget find something special.

The Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant alone is worth £46 when bought separately, making it the priciest item in the box. This exfoliant has a rating of 4.6 out of five stars based on over 750 reviews from Boots shoppers, just over 70% of whom awarded it the full five stars.

"I stumbled upon this miracle in a bottle and it did so well," one impressed customer wrote in their review. "Within a month of using it my skin felt like velvet, it was so soft! And the product felt so nice to my skin. 10/10, I would buy a million of these If I could afford it."

Another fan of the exfoliant said: "This facial exfoliant is gentle enough for use multiple times a week, and makes my skin glow afterwards. It's part of my regular routine!"

"Oh my gosh, this stuff really is the best," someone else penned. "It's not as abrasive as other exfoliants, but it does its job - and very well. The smell is very light but smells great. Texture was great as well."

However, as with any beauty product it appears the exfoliant wasn't suited to everyone's skin, with a small number of shoppers leaving negative reviews. "The scent was a bit overwhelming. It was very harsh on my face. I had to stop and rinse it off. My skin could not have handled," one person said.

"My skin didn't like it too much," someone else admitted. "It didn't really feel any different in terms of softness. It did feel like it needed some moisture afterwards."

If your dad is into his skincare, the new box may be the perfect opportunity for him to try out some new brands without committing to paying full price for them. Or if you don't want to splash out quite as much cash, Boots is also currently offering 3 for 2 on selected No7 products, including all of the items in this bundle.

Other gift sets with a more budget-friendly price tag include the Ted Baker Bath and Body Washbag Gift containing hair & body wash and a body spray, which has been reduced from £18 to £12 in the Boots sale. There's also the £12 Clinique For Men Starter Kit - with Boots also offering 3 for 2 on selected Clinique products if you want to bump up your gift - or the L'Oreal Paris Men Expert Look Lively Giftset, which is now half price at just £6.49.

Boots isn't the only high street favourite offering dads luxury for less this Father's Day.
